I was an assistant principal for 4 years and a principal for 25 years. During this time I was an instructional leader with responsibilities in the area of curriculum and teacher assessment. For the past year I have served and currently serve as a consultant at the Region 4 service center and have the primary responsibility of assessing principals and assistant principals in the Houston area. I am also supervising student teachers for Sam Houston State University. I served District 4 as President of TEPSA and then was a state officer of TEPSA for six years, serving as State President in 1997. These positions provided the opportunity to work on state education committees pertaining to curriculum and instruction and teacher assessment.
