  • I am frequently asked to testify as an expert witness in family violence trials.
  • As a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology, I have been assigned the following courses: Victimology, Victim Service Delivery, Child Abuse and Neglect (undergraduate-level), Child Abuse and Neglect (graduate-level), Trauma and Crisis Intervention, Critical Analysis of Justice Administration, Family Violence (undergraduate-level), Family Violence (graduate-level), Advocacy and Case Management, Non-Profit Management and Grant-Writing, Crime Victim Services and Management, and Human Trafficking. Developed National Advocate Credentialing Program (NACP) pre-approved courses for the online Master of Science in Victim Services Management (MSVSM) Program. Prior to my current teaching appointment, I worked for an advocacy organization in a variety of different capacities, including as the Director of Client Services. I provided oversight to the shelter, transitional housing, sexual assault, and educational outreach programs. I provided case management assistance to clients at the transitional housing program. I implemented a Continuous Quality Improvement Process (including client focus groups) to encourage greater transparency and client-centered programming. I consulted with the Texas Council on Family Violence to identify best practices. I focused on improving client access to services (ex. foreign-language speakers and clients with vision-impairments.

Developed National Advocate Credentialing Program (NACP) pre-approved courses for the online Master of Science in Victim Services Management (MSVSM) Program. Prior to my current teaching appointment, I worked for an advocacy organization in a variety of different capacities, including as the Director of Client Services. I provided oversight to the shelter, transitional housing, sexual assault, and educational outreach programs. I provided case management assistance to clients at the transitional housing program. I implemented a Continuous Quality Improvement Process (including client focus groups) to encourage greater transparency and client-centered programming. I consulted with the Texas Council on Family Violence to identify best practices. I focused on improving client access to services (ex. foreign-language speakers and clients with vision-impairments.
